louder still today than any other believer, even those who have won millions of souls in tent-meetings in Africa. How this works – God knows. Spend more time with God and get to know Him. When Livingstone died of malaria at 60, the Zambians were heartbroken, they loved him so, they cut his heart out and buried it in Africa. This man had a heart for Africa. The Africans took his body to Zanzibar and put it on a ship for Scotland 150 years ago – but today the testimony of Livingstone still echoes louder than just about anyone else. Angus Buchan related this – he is an African tent evangelist who gets millions saved. For him to say that Livingstone speaks loudest to us today says it all. Angus would preach in my small country church 20 years ago. Abel still speaks to us today, a righteous man by his example. (Heb. 11:4) I relate this as well to say that our security is in our relationship with God. If my security is in my performance – how many souls I win weekly, how many hours I pray per day or in how big the size of my church is, my belief system will start leaking when I least expect it – I could be missing it. Livingstone must have had a heart after God. He could not leave the place of grace. Being a Christian is a heart matter first – the numbers could come later, but leave it for God to do it His way.
The law was given to show how incapable we are or to show men how guilty they are Gal 3:19 Verse… Gal 3:22-23 explains the purpose of the law. This is an incredible principle or a gentle nudge from our Dad in heaven. Some may not like that. However, much more concerning is that possibly 90% of church have not grasped this purpose of the law. Over about a 5 year journey in American churches I have to say I never heard this. I had a seminar addiction with a word of faith camp down security void of grace. My natural ears may have heard it, but my spiritual ear never understood it. I may have met one gentleman who had something to say on grace, but no one else did. I did not like what he said about grace, but in hindsight now I know he understood grace. I do remember travelling about 400 miles a week to church services and honestly thought I should get a reward. I did get a couple of diplomas, but that reward theory with the self – righteous expectation through hearing the wrong gospel is a concern. There is no one to blame. We all have this wall apparently blocking our access into grace. “For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” Jas 4:20 NKJ. An angry preacher could be frustrated with himself, because he is not understanding grace. However, he keeps taking it out on his congregation. Nevertheless, God has a way to open up grace. It could be like training and meditating daily in order to win the US Champions 6 months from now. Run the race with patience, but run to win – said Paul.
Actually God considers all of humanity to be prisoners of their unbelief, so that He can unlock our hearts and show His tender mercies to all who come to Him. Rom 11:32 TPT.
‘’’we beg you not to take God’s wonderful grace for granted, allowing it to have no effect on your lives.” 2 Cor 6:1
“If the law produces righteousness, Christ died in vain. Gal 2:21
“Because of this confidence, I planned to come to you first – I wanted to give you a second experience of grace.” 2 Cor 1:15 ESV CSB
And as God’s grace reaches more and more people there will be great thanksgiving and God will receive more and more glory 2 Cor 4
If your culture or tribe has counselled you to put off getting saved until just before death, then death may arrive unexpectedly and it will be too late. God has given you a choice and He respects your decision. You are encouraged to embrace Jesus’ culture and to give your life to Him right now.
If that is your choice, you are invited to pray –
“I know that right now I am separated from God, but I would rather be with Him. I am a sinner, but I want to be saved by His grace. I let go of everything that has distracted me from that relationship with Jesus. Jesus I invite you into my life to live with me. Thank you that I am now saved by your blood. Amen.”
