understand grace. Law gives sin its power or empowers us to sin. 1 Cor 15:56. For Christ is the end of the law. And because of Him, God has transferred His perfect righteousness to all who believe. Rom 10:4. The Passion Transl. Right Believing – “accessing grace through faith” Rom 5:2 always works. The law mixed with faith does not work either. Pure grace is the answer and there is no limit to the amount available for anyone. Grace does not make you sin more, it makes you sin less and less. Rom 6:14. Study grace in the New Covenant and find that it has no time for excuses or laziness – understand it and you will do more than ever before. 1 Cor 15:10. Keeping my seat with Jesus keeps the victory. [Not passivity, but Active Focus]
In my view, sin-consciousness and self-righteousness are the biggest blockers in the Christian life. On another tract sin-consciousness and its traps were dealt with. Heb. 9 and 10 is a good option for checking this out.” I have lived a good life better than most” does not let me off the hook. That person is only feeling out eternity and still needs to get saved.
Most could say that your sin will find you out and destroy you. This could happen and it is in the word, but the correct belief system with a sincere heart will not allow this to happen. Grace will keep anyone and God has made a way of escape from any sin that could be harassing you.1 Cor 10:13. His perfect love for me casts out fear. 1 Jn 4:18. I don’t need to conduct a midnight deliverance meeting with noise and prophetic utterances together with asking for money. There may be a time for that, but according to the New Covenant my
focus is major. Quit looking at the devil – stop getting distracted by his suggestions.
By flowing in grace, I do not sweat with intensity. Jesus sweated for me in Gethsemane. Who I hang around with is key, who I sit with and what I spend my life meditating on or imagining. I have watched the same people go to the same deliverance meetings week after week. So I have to ask, “What happened the first week?”. Anyhow grace keeps us free by meditation instead of performance. “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.” Prov. 23:7. We are responsible for keeping our mind renewed Rom 12:2 and for keeping a pure heart. “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Mtt.12:34. Over many years I have been tested to the extent that I could barely hold on. I have seen this happen to many influential ministers, but some never held on. My boast is in God’s grace alone. This is the confidence we have…1 Jn 5.11. I would say most of those who fell never understood grace and it was only a matter of time. Grace keeps the house built on the rock as we exercise faith. BY GRACE I NOW STAND confidently and joyfully. Rom. 5:2 NLT Jesus has made us friends of God. Rom. 5:11.
“For the Lord is your security” Prov. 3:26. I heard recently the story of David Livingstone in Africa. He was secure in Africa and would not go anywhere else. When his wife died of malaria at 40, he was heart-broken, but he was secure in God. When Stanley, (a man of the world), found him and spent 4 months with him, he was dumbstruck with Livingstone’s lifestyle. He walked with Jesus, never said a bad word – Livingstone just had a godly character. However, he only had 1 convert to Jesus – but everyone knows that his life is
